Environment Agency Community Day

There is an opportunity to see the work the Environment Agency has been doing in our area after last year's floods. This is the information they supplied:

"As part of the day we will be opening sites including Northmoor Pumping Station, Curry Moor Pumping Station, our Bradney Depot and our Area Incident Room in Bridgwater.  There will be children’s activities, the chance to get up close and personal with creepy crawlies and our temporary flood defences all at Bradney Depot, this is a fun and free day for all the family.

We will be carrying out 2 mini bus tours around the area - 10:00 – 13:00 / 13:30 – 16:30.  We are also holding tours of our Area Incident Room – 11:30 – 12:30 and 14:30 – 15:30.  We anticipate these tours will be popular and therefore are booking people on them on a first come, first booked basis.  Each person is able to book up to 4 places.  Please email wessexenquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk  with your name, contact details, tour time and how many places you would like to book.

If you don't manage to book a place we will put your name on a reserve list and will contact you if a space becomes available.  If you do book a place and need to cancel please let us know no later than 12pm on Wednesday 1 July. "

The poster alongside gives the details and there is a map you can download here.
