Some of you may recall the meeting in the Village Hall in November 2013 with Richard Brunning talking about the history of Aller Island. His book on the '
Lost Islands of Somerset', published by the Somerset Heritage Service, part of the County Council, has a small section on our Parish, among 80 well illustrated pages.

We recorded Dr Brunning's presentation and you can download the file (Aller
Island.mp3 - 102.3Mb, so it will take some time on our slow local internet
connection!)
here. Unfortunately, we don't have the slides to go with it.
David Martin tells me there are still a number of copies of the book available at only £5 - remarkable for a well desiged and informative book printed in colour throughout. David (contact him on 01458 251650 or at davidmartin720@btinternet.com) has offered to coordinate any orders, so if you want to get your Christmas prezzies early, give him a call.
