Aller through the Ages: Former Allerite Rob Mayor writes that the British Library has put its newspaper archive online. "You have to pay to see the articles in full, but most give you the top few lines for free. I quite like the 1880 story about the man from Aller who attempted to walk to Bridgwater and back in 4 hours, but failed by 1 minute as the roads were heavy!"

That's brilliant, several people are interested in an Aller history society. This should provide loads of material.
