History of Aller

Many of you will have interesting stories about life in Aller or will know people who have. It would be a great shame for these stories to be lost over time. The aim is to build up a collective memory of the village within this web site.
If you have any interesting stories, pictures, memories etc which you could put into the comments box or email to chiggy@allermanor.co.uk it would be wonderful. Please encourage and help the less computer minded folk in the village get their stories across for posterity.

    There's useful information on researching and writing a village history on the BBC website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/trail/local_history/village/history_of_a_village_01.shtml.
    It's possible to include pictures, facsimilies of artefacts, video, audio reminisences etc. It does not need to be be a long text-only document. Lets make it as exciting as possible. Great idea Chiggy!
