Village Hall Floor

This is how the Village hall floor now looks!
The floor has been sanded down and treated with several coats of hard-wearing varnish, so should continue to look good for some time to come. It is considerably lighter than before, making the hall look airy and larger.
Our thanks are due to Shane Pledger, who kindly provided an industrial sander, to Michael Layard, Chair of the Village Hall Committee, who has spend a huge amount of time organising and assisting, and particularly to Craig, our Lengthsman, who worked extremely hard to sand the whole floor and get the first couple of coats of varnish down.
The Hall will be back in use for the Parish Council meeting tonight, 11t , and also for the Aller Island archaeology meeting tomorrow (12th, details below). Apologies to any groups who were affected by the temporary closure.
